10/30/2020 - I often get asked, what is the real estate market doing around Smithville / Platte City?
Well, that is a great question. For the most part the housing market in this area is booming. The housing market is fueled by very low interest rates and seemingly a lot of pent up demand to move to KC's northland.
Smithville has so much to offer - its location in proximity to Kansas City and KCI, the great schools, and the Smithville lake are perhaps primary attractions. Smithville lake is more than just a boating lake! Its a great fishing lake, a golf course, a trap shooting range, and many miles of very well maintained trails of various permitted uses (horse back, biking, walking/running, bicycling). If you have not yet checked into Smithville or the Smithville lake - I would sure encourage you to take a look.
